Fundraiser Helps Survivors of Brain Injury

Coach Beamer and Winner of Football

The Honorable Danny Bird, Jr., from Wytheville, was the lucky winner of the Virginia Tech - UVA winning game ball awarded during festivities before the spring game. Former State Senator Bird is a retired judge, and was President of the Virginia Tech Class of 1960, and Regimental Commander of the Cadet Corp. The $8,000 raised by the raffle will provide support for the only two case management programs in Virginia for children with brain injuries, through Brain Injury Services of SWVA and Brain Injury Services, Inc. in Northern Virginia. Thanks to all who participated.
